NL Power Transmission Line Replacement Proposed for Southern Shore Highway

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted by Newfoundland Power to replace the existing transmission line in the area of the Southern Shore Highway.

A 1.6 km section of the transmission line is proposed to be relocated along Bay Bulls Big Pond on the Southern Shore Highway.

This new structure will replace the existing transmission line, moving the 24 single-pole 66V transmission structures away from Bay Bulls Big Pond and relocating them to the opposite side of the highway.

The public has until Tuesday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. to provide comments.
