NL Marks Decade of International Recognition for Environmentally Responsible Forest Management

The provincial governmnet has been recognized for its efforts to achieve and maintain environmentally responsible forest management standards.

For ten years in a row, forestry operations administered by the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture have maintained International Organization for Standardization certification, keeping Newfoundland and Labrador on the leading edge of responsible forest management.

The province’s Crown forest operations have been recertified until 2027, subject to annual surveillance audits.
