NL Company Helping Combat COVID-19

A company from this province is helping combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Polyamyna Nanotech, located in St. John’s, has created two general disinfectant products VANISHALL and MICRODOME, and two antimicrobial products with residual activity, Microdome Plus and KeepKlear. These products keep hard surfaces pathogen-free, including of superbugs, for a few hours to several months.

Co-founders Ramesh Kumar Mani and Bala Kishan Gorityala leaned on their previous work experience in nanomaterials and antibacterial drug discovery to develop these products.

The Provincial Government contributed a non-repayable investment of $129,000 to Polyamyna Nanotech, as part of the company’s certification process for Health Canada and the Environmental Protection Agency.
