Newfoundland Drag Awards return in 2026 to celebrate provincial drag talent

The Newfoundland Drag Awards are set to return in 2026, recognizing drag artists from across Newfoundland and Labrador for excellence, creativity and community impact.

The annual, community-driven event celebrates performers at all stages of their careers, with award categories including Most Authentic Drag Artist, New and Emerging Drag Artist, the Drag is Art Award and others.

Nominations are free and open to the public, with self-nominations accepted.

Winners in each category will receive a physical award along with cash tips.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Rock House on George Street on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The evening will begin with a free pre-show at 9 p.m., featuring an open stage for new and emerging drag artists, followed by the awards show at 10 p.m.

Advance tickets are priced at $15, including HST, with tickets available at the door for $20. Admission is free for anyone arriving in drag.

The nomination deadline is Feb. 12, 2026.
