New York City Reports First Fatality From COVID-19 Virus



New York City has reported its first fatality from the COVID-19 virus.


Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a press conference that an 82-year-old woman who tested positive for the virus has died.


She did have an underlying condition, emphysema for many years.


The woman was admitted to the hospital last week and was in critical condition ever since.


Those with underlying health conditions and the elderly at those most at risk from succumbing to the virus.
