New Year's Eve Celebrations

The City of St. John’s is holding several free events to help residents ring in 2024.

On New Year's Eve, there will be a Gym and Swim for families of all ages at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre and Paul Reynolds Community Centre. Access to gym facilities will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. and two free swim times are available, the first is from 9 to 9:50 a.m. and 10 to 10:50 a.m.

There will be a skating party with holiday music, free hot chocolate and party favours at the Loop from 5 to 7 p.m. This event depends on ice conditions.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks display will occur at 8 p.m. over Quidi Vidi Lake. In the case of unsuitable weather for fireworks, the display will be postponed to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2024.
