New federal carbon tax introduced today

The new federal Carbon Tax kicks in today and some fuel prices have increased as a result.

The price of gasoline is up by 3.8 cents per litre and diesel motor fuel increased by up to 4.7 cents.

Propane is also up today by 2.32 cents per litre.

With the new tax added, 17.61 cents per litre on gasoline is federal tax and 17.38 cents per litre on diesel is also federal tax.
