New CEO of Nalcor Announced

Jennifer Williams will be appointed as the CEO of Nalcor Energy.

Stan Marshall will be retiring as of June 15.

Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology Andrew Parsons made the announcement on Thursday morning.

Williams served as Vice President, Production, with NL Hydro since August 2016. Earlier positions include General Manager, Hydro Production, as well as Manager, Regulatory Engineering. She joined NL Hydro in 2014, having previously worked with both Newfoundland Power and the St. John’s International Airport Authority. She has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and is a member and former member of the Board of Directors of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.

It was announced in the budget that the government is continuing to examine the future role of Nalcor and the appropriate structure after the Muskrat Falls project is commissioned.
