Musgrave Harbour man arrested following home invasion

RCMP have arrested 33-year-old Joshua Ash of Musgrave Harbour on Wednesday morning following a home invasion that occurred in the community.

Police received a report indicating that Ash forced entry into a residence and tried to assault a man inside the home with a weapon.

The man was able to escape the property uninjured and called for assistance.

Officers arrived at the residence and located Ash inside. He was taken into custody without further incident. The accused faces charges of assault with a weapon, break and enter, and mischief.

The two individuals were known to one another and this incident is not considered to be a random act.
