Mount Pearl proposing one-way pilot project on Centennial Street

The City is considering a pilot project to make Centennial Street a one-way street, moving westbound from Bannister Street to Commonwealth Avenue.

Under the project, there will be no vehicle access from Commonwealth Avenue onto Centennial Street. Vehicles will still enter Centennial Street from Bannister Street and turn left or right. Access via Park Avenue will remain open.

Additionally, new traffic signs will be installed, including One-Way signs, Do Not Enter signs, No Left Turn/No Right Turn signs, and Temporary “New Traffic Pattern” signage.
