Motorcyclist sent to hospital following vehicle-motorcycle collision in Conception Bay South, late Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the crash, which occurred on Conception Bay Highway (Route 60) between Legion Road and Wisemans Lane, shortly after 4:00p.m. on Friday after a motorcycle collided with a truck. Reports from the scene indicate the driver of the truck was turning on Conception Bay Highway as a eastbound motorcycle approach, which caused the motorcyclist to collide with the Pickup.

The rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with what is believed to be minor injuries, while the occupant of the truck was reportedly to be unharmed.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) closed the portion of Conception Bay Highway from Legion Road to Wisemans Lane to conduct thier investigation in the cause of the collision.
