Most fuel prices increase overnight

Overnight, maximum fuel prices across Newfoundland and Labrador were adjusted by the Public Utilities Board.


Gasoline motor fuel rose by as much as 2.6 cents per litre, while diesel motor fuel increased by up to 4.2 cents per litre on the Island. In Zones 13 and 13a, diesel prices climbed by 4.0 cents per litre.


Heating fuels also saw changes. Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island increased by 3.61 cents per litre, and stove oil heating fuel in Zones 13 and 13a rose by 3.49 cents per litre.


Propane heating fuel was the only category to see a decrease, dropping by as much as 2.2 cents per litre.
