Final Section of Team Gushue Highway to Open Today

The final section of the Team Gushue Highway is set to officially open today.

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Barry Petten will lead the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Admiralty House Communications Museum Annex, located at 365 Old Placentia Road in Mount Pearl.

Petten will be joined by Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister and Ferryland MHA Loyola O’Driscoll, Cape Spear-Mount Pearl-Paradise MP Tom Osborne, Mount Pearl Mayor Dave Aker, St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen and Olympic curler Brad Gushue, after whom the highway is named.

The opening marks the completion of the highway’s final section.
