More reaction to the provincial budget

The Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association is disappointed that the budget did not include adequate funding to support a plan to address the systemic issues in the province’s public education system.

Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to see the Provincial Government’s commitment to supporting municipal fiscal stability in the budget.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is pleased with the decision to extend the provincial gas tax cut by another year and cutting taxes for small businesses but disappointed to see that the budget was not balanced.
