MHA ejected from house after refusing to withdraw comment

Sheilagh O'Leary, the NDP MHA for St. John's East - Quidi Vidi, was ejected from the House of Assembly on Wednesday after stating that Minister Tibbs was not being truthful about the treatment of Newfoundland and Labrador Housing staff.

O'Leary was asked to withdraw her comment, and she refused.

Speaker Paul Lane then ordered her to leave the House for the remainder of the day.

There was also a protest happening outside the Confederation Building today regarding the closure of Horizons 106.
