More forest access roads opened in forest fire areas

Some more forest access roads have been reopened in the Miguel Lake area.

Roads had been closed as a result of the Paradise Lake and Bay d’Espoir Highway forest fires.

At this time, access to areas beyond the fire line is still prohibited. This includes the specific area located along Great Rattling River road from inside Whales Back to Louse Lake – also known locally as 45 Road.

The Bay d’Espoir Highway (Route 360) continues to remain open to traffic. However, forest access roads around North West Gander including the North West Gander forest access road remain closed as forest fire crews continue to work in the area.
