Mixed Winter Weather Continues Across Newfoundland and Labrador

A mix of snow, flurries and milder temperatures is forecast across Newfoundland and Labrador on Tuesday, with conditions varying significantly by region.
In Labrador, colder air remains in place. Temperatures are expected to hover near -15 C in Labrador City and around -13 C in Churchill Falls, with periods of snow. Nain is forecast to see snow and blowing snow, with temperatures near -4 C. Happy Valley-Goose Bay is expected to sit near the freezing mark, with light snow possible.
On the Island, temperatures are generally milder. Corner Brook is forecast to reach around 0 C with flurries, while Channel–Port aux Basques is expected to see a mix of sun and flurries and a high near 1 C. Gander and the Gander–Grand Falls–Windsor area are forecast to remain near -1 C, with snow or flurries continuing through the day.
Along the northeast coast, St. Anthony is expected to see a high near 1 C with a mix of sun and snow showers. St. John’s is forecast to remain near 0 C, with periods of snow, while Marystown is expected to be slightly warmer, reaching about 2 C with a mix of sun and flurries.
Motorists were advised to be cautious, as changing conditions and localized snowfall could result in slippery road conditions across parts of the province.
