Mile One Centre to become Mary Browns Centre

A big change is coming to Mile One Centre, specifically the name.

Fast food restaurant Mary Browns has purchased the naming rights to Mile One and will change the name to the Mary Browns Centre.

The sign will be replaced in early November.

Founded in 1969, the chain has approximately160 stores across Canada.

Mile One opened in May 2001 as a replacement for Memorial Stadium. The centre's name comes from it being located at the beginning of the Trans-Canada Highway.
