Miawpukek First Nation signs MOU with TriNav Marine Design for support vessel

The Miawpukek First Nation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TriNav Marine Design for the design of a new zero-emission fibreglass aquaculture support vessel.

The new boat will be 49 feet in length and will be equipped with a zero-carbon emitting propulsion system. The propulsion system will utilize a fully electric motorized system running off battery banks or hydrogen cell technology.

The boat is expected to be completed by 2025.
