With the holiday season in full swing, it can be a joyous time with family and friends, but it can also be a stressful time for some of us.

There are several resources available to help those who are struggling.

The provincial helpline can be reached at 811 and offers immediate assistance for mental health and addictions crises, as well as health advice and support. You can also visit a Doorways clinic for rapid access to mental health and addictions counselling services.

For information on e-mental health and addictions services and resources which is confidential, free and available any time visit Bridge the gapp.

Kids Help Phone has a texting service. Youth can text 686868 and adults can text 741741 to speak with a trained volunteer crisis responder. Kids, teens, and young adults can also call 1-800-668-6868.

Free Naloxone kits are publicly available at more than 155 sites across the province. Call 811 to find out where to get a free Naloxone kit.
