The Mayor of Meadows Jamie Brake announced Sunday evening that the town will likely be the site of mass testing for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Brake said, "as many of you have probably heard the rumors [sic] of the Covid virus [sic] reaching close to home over the weekend. I would like to enlighten you, that these are true facts."

Only those in close contact will be contacted by health officials if you need to be tested.

There was a late evening news release from the provincial government today, announcing one new case in Western Health. On Saturday there were four new cases of COVID-19 in the Western Health region bringing the total number of active cases in Western Health to eight.
