Massive increase in some fuel prices

The cost of some fuels is up exponentially today.

Diesel has increased by up to 35.2 cents per litre.

Furnace oil is up by 30.48 cents per litre.

Stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador has increased by 41.98 cents.

There is no change in the price of gasoline or propane.

The Public Utilities Board says the increases are the result of a significant increase in the benchmark price for New York Harbour Ultra Low Sulphur Kerosene.

Brent Crude Oil is trading at $88.34 this morning.
