Mask mandate comes to an end

The provincial mask mandate has come to an end.

Premier Andrew Furey announced Friday that as of 12:01 am this morning the mask mandate would come to an end.

The Premier added that if someone chooses to continue to wear a mask they may do so.

Masks will still be required in some places such as in health care facilities and in living centres for seniors. Some businesses may still require masks to be worn.

The mask mandate has been in place since August 24, 2020.
