Mary’s Harbour RCMP tickets driver travelling at excessive speed #nltraffic

A 32-year-old Happy Valley-Goose Bay woman was ticketed by Mary’s Harbour RCMP on August 28, for travelling at excessive speeds.

RCMP were on patrol along Route 510 and observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

A radar reading of 146 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone was obtained and a traffic stop was conducted.

In addition to a traffic ticket, the driver, who was travelling 66 km/h over the speed limit, received a seven-day suspension of her driver’s licence.
