Man with several outstanding warrants arrested in St. John's

On Saturday afternoon, the RNC, conducting general patrols in the west end of St. John’s, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.

Police determined that an occupant of the vehicle had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.

The warrants were for charges of assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, endangering an animal, armed robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and using a firearm in the commission of an offence.

The 27-year-old male was arrested and held to appear in court.
