Man wanted on two warrants picked up by RNC

Just after 2:00 a.m. this morning, RNC officers on patrol observed a male who is known to police, and they were aware that there were outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Officers approached the male, who then fled on foot, but was apprehended a short time later. One warrant was for possessing property obtained by crime, and the second was for a theft that had occurred at a store in the central city area of St. John's last month.

The 41-year-old male was held at the City Lock-up to appear before a judge in the morning.
