Man facing several charges after traffic stop in Corner Brook

Friday evening the RNC in Corner Brook received a complaint from a motorist of an erratic driver.

Officers located the vehicle in on Main Street in Corner Brook and conducted a traffic stop.

The 33-year-old male resident of Stephenville now faces several charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusal, assaulting a peace officer and obstruction.

Police also determined that the male had an outstanding warrant.

The accused vehicle was impounded and he was also served with several tickets for operating an unregistered vehicle and no insurance.

The accused was held in custody.
