Man facing list of firearms charges following incident in St. John's

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has made an arrest following a disturbance in St. John’s.
On Friday at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance inside a residence on Campbell Avenue. Responding officers cleared the residence an,d while doing so, located a male hiding inside.
The male was concealing a firearm and arrested without incident. A second firearm was seized as part of the investigation.
A search warrant has been executed at the property, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police arrested 42-year-old Scott Dwyer. He was held in custody and appeared in Provincial Court on Friday on charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, careless use/storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with a probation order.
