Man facing list of charges after woman dragged from home

On Friday morning the RNC received reports that a male went into a residence in St. John’s with a firearm. The information could not be cooberated at that time.

Just after noon, police responded to the same area where a female appeared to be in distress. She was being pulled and dragged by a male.

Officers located the female who had significant lacerations to her face. As a result, the male was charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, three counts of possessing ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and breach of probation.

He was held to appear before a judge.
