Man facing attempted murder charges after incident on Anspatch Street

On Monday evening, the RNC responded to Anspatch Street, where police received reports of a man banging on doors and screaming.

Police arrived and located two females with serious injuries who were quickly transported to the hospital for treatment. One victim is described as being in critical condition.

While attending to this matter, police received another report of a man on the street who was assaulted by what is believed to be the same suspect.

Police identified the suspect and located and arrested the 32-year-old man.

The accused has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

The accused will appear in court this morning. The investigation is continuing.
