Man faces list of charges after traffic stop near Barr’d Harbour

On Wednesday the RCMP stopped a speeding vehicle on Route 430 near Barr’d Harbour.
As a result of the traffic stop, a 25-year-old Corner Brook man is facing several charges.
The vehicle was travelling 156 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. Police also determined that the driver had a suspended driver's license, owed over $13,000.00 in fines, and had no insurance.
The man faces charges of driving while suspended, speeding 51km/h over the speed limit, and failing to produce proof of insurance.
The vehicle was seized and impounded.
The accused will appear in court in March.
