Man Deceased After Collision Near Norris Arm #nltraffic

A 69-year-old man has died after a fatal motor vehicle collision on TCH near Norris Arm on Monday night.

There was a collision between a pickup truck and an oil tanker truck. Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene. Upon arrival, it was determined that the lone male occupant of the pickup truck died at the scene.

The investigation revealed that the pickup truck crossed over the centre line and into the oncoming path of an oil tanker truck.

The oil tanker tried to avoid the collision but was unable.

After that collision, the oil tanker side-swiped an oncoming transport truck that was travelling behind the pickup truck. The two drivers of the commercial trucks were uninjured.

Roads were reported as wet during the time of the collision.

The investigation is continuing.
