Man dead after collision on TCH east of the Bay d’Espoir junction

The RCMP has reported that a 49-year-old man died after crashing a commercial transport truck on the Trans-Canada Highway east of the Bay d’Espoir junction early this morning.

This morning shortly after 4:00 am a passer-by called police to alert them of the crash.

A transport truck carrying a tank of fuel departed the TCH and rolled over. The lone occupant was located deceased at the scene.

The collision caused a considerable spill of fuel.

The investigation is continuing.
