Man charged with two counts of murder

The RNC has charged a man with the murder of two men in St. John’s.

On December 1, police responded to a residence on Aldershot Street, where officers located two men, ages 38 and 53, deceased inside.

The deaths were determined to be homicides, with their injuries consistent with stab wounds.

As a result of an investigation by the RNC Major Crime Unit, 41-year-old Matthew Delaney was arrested yesterday at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the Water Street West area, and charged with two counts of murder.

He was held to appear in court today.
