Man charged with assault after police respond to west-end St. John’s call

A 38-year-old man is facing an assault charge after police responded to a call at a residence in the city’s west end Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the home at about 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 18.

Police said that following an investigation at the scene, officers arrested a 38-year-old man and charged him with assault.

The man was taken to the St. John’s city lockup and held to appear in court Thursday morning.
