Man charged following vehicle collision in the West End of St. John’s

A 46-year-old man has been charged with impaired operation and refusal of a breath demand after a vehicle collision in the West End of St. John’s early Monday morning.

Crews were called to the intersection of Topsail Road and Columbus Drive at around 12:45 A.M. on Monday. When emergency personnel arrived a single vehicle had significant damage.

When police arrived they noticed the driver of the vehicle to have signs of impairment the man was charged, his vehicle was seized and license was suspended. He was released for court at a later date.
