Man charged following single vehicle accident on the Clover Leaf in St. John’s

A 20 year old man has been charged after single vehicle accident on the Clover Leaf Saturday night.


Firefighters along with NLHS paramedics and police officers responded to the Clover leaf at around 11:20 p.m. last night for a single vehicle accident, when crews arrived a single vehicle had departed the road way coming to a rest on its wheels in a grassy area.


Traffic coming from Mount Pearl on Pitts Memory Drive to go West on the Trans Canada Highway was temporarily closed as crews tended to the scene.


As a result of the impaired driving investigation the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has changed the 20 year old man with, Impaired driving exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood. His vehicle was seized and his license was suspended. The man was also issued a summary offence ticket for driving without insurance.

He was release for court at a later date.
