Man Charged Following Intimate Partner Assault Investigation in St. John’s

A 44-year-old man has been charged following an alleged intimate partner assault at a business in St. John's.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. on July 26, when RNC officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a business on Topsail Road.

During the investigation, officers arrested the man at the scene.

Police said the accused was taken to the St. John's lockup and charged with assault, violence against an intimate partner, and two counts of breaching a release order.

The man is expected to appear in court at a later date.
