Man charged after vehicle window smashed in St. John’s

A 31-year-old man is facing charges following a report of property damage in downtown St. John’s on Thursday evening.

The RNC responded to the Harvey Road area at about 7:41 p.m. after receiving a report of damage in progress.

Police said witnesses reported that a man had smashed the window of a vehicle.

Officers located a suspect nearby and arrested him without incident.

The man has been charged with mischief and breach of a release order. He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court.
