Man charged after throwing rocks at vehicle in St. John’s

A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged after a vehicle windshield was damaged in St. John’s on Friday evening.

RNC responded to a report of mischief in the Topsail Road area at approximately 6:37 p.m.

Police said information received indicated a man had thrown a rock at a vehicle that was stopped in traffic, causing damage to the windshield.

A witness reportedly followed the suspect after the incident until officers arrived at the scene. The man was arrested without incident.

The accused was charged with mischief causing property damage, as well as breaches of a release order. He was held in custody to appear in court.
