Mount Pearl RNC have charged a 31-year-old man following a series of incidents on Sunday morning that involved attempted theft, break-ins, and stolen lottery tickets.

Police responded around 11:20 a.m. to reports of a man attempting to steal tools from a resident. When confronted, the suspect fled, dropping a large quantity of break-open lottery tickets.

Shortly after, officers received additional calls, including one about a man attempting to enter a home, another from a local corner store reporting stolen bins of lottery tickets, and a fourth about a forced entry into a residence that resulted in property damage.

Police later located the suspect outside a residence. He resisted arrest but was taken into custody. A search revealed more break-open tickets in his possession.

The man has been charged with break and enter, property damage, theft, and resisting arrest. He was held in custody to appear in court.
