Man charged After Flight From Police #nltraffic

On Saturday evening the RNC attempted to stop a vehicle that was driven by a male who was prohibited from driving.

When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled from the police.

A short time later the driver was located parked at the rear of a residence in the west end of St. John’s and taken into custody. He is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with; driving while suspended, operating a vehicle with no insurance and failing to transfer ownership of the vehicle.

He is charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with; driving while prohibited, dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from Police, leaving the scene of an accident, breaches of a court release order and conditions of his probation order.

The vehicle was seized and the male was held for court.
