Man charged after disturbance at Village Mall in St. John’s

A 51-year-old man has been charged following a disturbance at the Village Mall in St. John’s on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say members of Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a disturbance at the mall at about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 24. When officers arrived, security guards were speaking with an irate man inside the building.
Following an investigation, the man was arrested and taken to the St. John’s lockup.
He is charged with uttering threats, breach of a release order, breach of probation and breach of the Petty Trespass Act.
