Man charged after disturbance at Topsail Road home

A 52-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a disturbance at a residence on Topsail Road on Wednesday night.

Police responded to the home at approximately 9:34 p.m. on April 8 after a woman reported that a man inside was causing damage and breaking furniture.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and determined he had also made threats toward the complainant.

Police say the man resisted arrest but was quickly taken into custody.

He has been charged with mischief causing property damage, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, and resisting arrest.

The accused was taken to the city lockup, where he was held overnight.
