Man attacked with knife at hotel in Corner Brook
Around 11:30 pm last night the RNC along with paramedics responded to a report of an assault in progress at the Greenwood Inn in Corner Brook.
A 19-year-old male was being treated for lacerations to his face and head. The investigation revealed that two young men took refuge in the hotel lobby after being chased by two older male suspects.
The suspects followed the two men into the lobby of the hotel and a fight ensued. One of the suspects, allegedly, brandished a knife and cut the forehead of the victim.
Both suspects fled on foot but not before one of them punched and broke the glass of the main entry.
The victim was transported to the Western Regional Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information should contact the RNC at 709-637-4100 or Crime-stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
