Man arrested on outstanding warrant arrested by RCMP transferred to RNC

A 29-year-old man arrested by the RCMP in Ferryland on an outstanding Royal Newfoundland Constabulary warrant was transferred into RNC custody late Wednesday night.

RNC received a call from RCMP around 9:21 p.m. on April 22, indicating the man had been arrested in connection with a 2023 file.

The accused was turned over to RNC officers and transported to the lockup in St. John’s.

He was scheduled to appear before a judge on Thursday morning to answer to the outstanding charges.
