Man arrested for indecent act in Downtown St. John's

On Tuesday evening, at approximately 10:43 p.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a report of a man engaging in an indecent act in the downtown area.

The incident came to light after a video was shared on social media which clearly showed the individual masturbating in public. Further investigation revealed that the man was also the subject of an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with the Sex Offender Information Registration Act.

The individual was located, arrested, and held in custody. He has since been charged with committing an indecent act, and the outstanding warrant was executed.
