A 39-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening after police responded to a report of an unwelcome person at a residence in central St. John’s.

RNC officers were called to the home at approximately 6:25 p.m. on July 5.

During their investigation, police determined the man was subject to a court order requiring him to stay away from the homeowner.

The man was arrested at the scene and taken to the St. John’s lockup. He was charged with two counts of breaching a release order.

The accused was held in custody pending a court appearance.
