Man arrested following assault in St. John's

At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, the RNC responded to the center city area of St. John’s on a call of an assault occurring.

Officers arrived and detained a 31-year-old male matching the description of the suspect.

The accused was arrested and charged with a breach of probation, a breach of a release order and two counts of assault.

The man was held to appear in provincial court.
