Man arrested following assault in St. John’s

The RNC has laid charges in relation to an assault in St. John’s on Friday morning.

Police responded to an apartment complex and officers located a female with injuries that occurred earlier at another residence.

The victim attended the Health Science Centre to seek medical treatment.

Later, officers arrested and charged a 26-year-old male from St. John’s with choking, assault causing bodily harm, assault, and uttering threats.

The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
